The company has various exclusive products that help in protecting smartphones, computers, and small/big organizations from potential online threats. Plus, Malwarebytes offers its services to many countries all across the world. 

Additionally, the Malwarebytes company was established in 2008, and its founders are Marcin Kleczynski and Bruce Harrison. History

In 2004 Malwarebytes was established informally. Its founder Marcin Kleczynski belongs to Poland. He established this company when he was a teenager and was going to a high school in Bensenville, Illinois. Additionally, at that time, he used to work in a computer shop in Chicago. At the shop, he noticed that whenever there came an infected computer, they used to format the whole system rather than trying to eliminate the issue, even if the virus was a minor one. After that, he learned to eliminate viruses from the computer system. And, when he became friends with the spyware info forum, they sold him their unused domain name. It resulted in the beginning of the Malwarebytes company. 

Additionally, along with one of his website friends Bruce Harrison, Kleczynski wrote the first version of the software for the company. After that, he and his roommates worked together and created a free program called ‘RogueRemover’ in 2006. It was a utility whose specialization was detecting and fighting the infection called ‘rogues.’ The infection is used to scam online users by asking them for their credit card details through fake antivirus software. Additionally, Kleczynski and Harrison formally introduced Malwarebytes in 2008. At that time, he used to go to the University of Illinois to complete his graduation in computer science.

Plus, in the first year of selling their software, Kleczynski and Harrison made around $600, 000 dollars even though they had not met each other personally. 

Furthermore, the company acquired a website blocklisting company hosts. The website is used to monitor the blacklisted websites and ad servers. Plus, in the same year company claimed that it had terminated over 5 billion malware in the span of three years. Additionally, in 2013, it acquired a security research and development company, ZeroVulnerabilityLabs, Inc., which Pedro Bustamante founded. 

After that, in 2014, Highland Capital Partners funded this company with $30 million. By the following year, the company made a statement that the company had fixed 250 million computer devices across the world. And in that, near about 20-25% were working on business computers. In 2015, Kleczynski was placed in one of Forbes magazine's ‘30 under 30.’

The company disclosed its advance anti-ransomware package Endpoint Security in 2016. Also, it has accumulated $50 million in investment from the Fidelity Management and Research Company. Later in 2017, it acquired an Italian security start-up specialized in anti-malware, anti-exploit, anti-rootkit, cloud AV, and sandbox technologies that were called Safterbytes.

By 2019, Malwarebytes collaborated with Kaspersky, NortonLifeLock, and Electronic Frontier Foundation. Additionally, it also joins forces with some non-profits such as Operation Safe Escape and National Network to End Domestic Violence. Together they created a Coalition Against Stalkware to educate and company tracking apps. Afterward, in 2021, it collaborated with Digitunity to provide protection to underserved endangered communities through technology access.
