System Restore is a recovery tool for Windows designed to reverse specific changes made to the operating System. You can also manually set a System Restore Point and use this tool to return particular files and settings to their previous versions and settings. When data corruption or Install failure occurs, System Restore Tool can return a system to working condition without needing to reinstall the operating System. However, sometimes Norton products can interfere with the System Restore process. 

Solution 1: Boot your device in Safe Mode.

To boot your System in Safe Mode, you need to follow the steps mentioned below:

1. First, go to the Windows Start Button and click on Settings.
2. Then, choose the Update & Security option.
3. In the next window, move to the left panel of the screen and select the Recovery option.
4. From there, go to the Advanced startup option.
5. Click Restart now.
6. Once your System restarts, a list of options will appear on the screen. 
7. Among those options, press F4 or 4 key to start your computer in Safe Mode.
8. In safe Mode, click start.
9. On the search field box, type and enter System Restore.
10. There, select the System Restore point.
11. As a next step, click on the System Restore button.
12. Then click Next.
13. Select a restore point.
14. Then Click Next, and Finish.

Solution 2: Run the System Scan.

1. In the taskbar, click on the Start option.
2. Head to the search section, type, and enter CMD.
3. When you hit the enter button, the command prompt option will open.
4. Right-click on it and choose Run as administrator.
5. Type 'sfc/scannow in the command screen and press Enter.
6. Restart your computer.

Solution 3: Run the Microsoft Malicious Removal Tool (MRT)

1. Go to the Windows start button.
2. In the search box, type MRT and press Enter.
3. Right-click on the MRT option and choose Run as administrator.
4. Click 'Yes' to allow or give administrator permissions.
