You can download the ESET antivirus with a few simple clicks, but sometimes you may face problems installing the antivirus. There are a few possible reasons due to why this problem occurs.   • Incompatibility issue: You won’t be able to install the ESET antivirus incompatible with your computer if your device does not meet the basic hardware requirement. 
  • The header is corrupt: This error occurs when a user tries to decompress (unRar) the .exe installation file.
  • The installation has been interrupted or was not completed successfully: This error typically occurs when another Windows installation tries to update or install your system. 
  • Other security products or previous versions of ESET products were found on your computer: The error occurs if you already have another security product or a previous version of an ESET product on your system.

Solution 1: Check if your system meets the following hardware and software requirements for ESET products to perform optimally.

  1. Ensure you use a Microsoft Windows 7 Service Pack 1 or higher device. ESET Products are compatible with Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8, and 7 with the latest Windows updates and Windows Home Sever 2011 64-bit.
  2. Your device must have Intel or AMD processor, 1 GHz or higher. 
  3. You should also have 256 MB of free memory.
  4. You must have 700 MB of free disk space on your hard drive.
  5. Lastly, you need a stable and good internet connection and a web browser.

  7. If you downloaded an ESET product installation file from ESET’s website, double-click the file to start the installation process.

  2. Restart your system in Safe Mode.

  8. To be ensured, rerun the ESET Uninstaller until the product is no longer listed under Installed ESET products.

  2. Download the ESET Internet Security installer file on your computer and double-click on it to begin the installation.
  3. Enable all protection and installation settings. Click Allow all>Continue.
  4. Before proceeding, review the End User License Agreement and Privacy Policy.
  5. When the Installation Wizard appears, click Create account to create your ESET Home account. If you want, you can skip this step.
  6. Type a name associated with your device into the Device name field, and click Continue.
  7. Type your License key and click Continue.
  8. You will be given the option to select a different product during or after installation.
  9. To exit the installation Wizard click Done.

This error message pops up when your ESET installation has been interrupted. You can verify it by looking in the Processes tab of the Task Manager. To resolve this issue, follow the instructions below.
  1. Click Close to terminate the ESET installation, and the ‘’Installation has been interrupted’’ error window.
  2. Wait for the other Windows installations to be finished on your computer. Or you can end other Windows installer tasks through the Task Manager.
  3. Double-click the installation package you downloaded previously to restart your ESET installation.

These error codes occurred when your ESET installation was not completed successfully, indicating a conflict between your system permissions and the ESET installation. To fix this issue, follow the steps mentioned below:
  1. Right-click the ESET installer file, and click Run as Administrator.
  2. Then follow the Installation Wizard, and if you still receive the error, create the following three folders directly on the C: Drive: ESET Security, ESET Modules, or ESET Data.
  3. Run the ESET installer and change the default installation file path through the Live installer, offline installer, or Install from MSI.
