Add a device to my Bitdefender account


Do you want to add a device to your Bitdefender account? You can do this by following the steps below. You can create a new profile and add a new device to the Bitdefender account.

  1. First, go to the Bitdefender app on your smartphone.
  2. Then, tap the More option at the bottom of the page.
  3. Now, tap on Users in the available list.
  4. In the top right corner of the screen, tap on the “+” sign.
  5. When you see a prompt, select either of the two options
    • Import from Contacts
    • Add new user
  6. Type a name for the Bitdefender profile and tap on Next. 
  7. You can set a profile picture by following the available options. 
  8. Then, you need to put your personal information like phone number, date of birth, and email address. 
  9. In the end, tap on the Save button to save the changes. 
  10. You have created a profile and can add a device to your profile. 
  11. To add a device, select the Assign Device option. 
  12. Now, select either “Add a device” or “Assign available device” to move forward. 
  13. Select the device you want to add to the Bitdefender account and tap on the Save button to save changes.

To manage devices on Bitdefender, move to Bitdefender Central: 
  1. Log in with your email address and password. 
  2. Then, go to the My Devices section. 
  3. Afterthat, choose the device you want to remove. 
  4. Click on View Details. 
  5. Lastly, click Remove.

If you have purchased Bitdefender from a retail store, you can check the code printed on the box that comes along with the Bitdefender. If the purchase was via online mode, you would receive an activation code in the email.

There may be certain reasons for not getting the activation code. The primary reason is an incorrect email address or phone number. The verification messages may be blocked by your phone. Or else a poor internet connection is also the main reason for not getting an activation code.
