Q1: Please Choose Your Webroot Product:

Remove Webroot pop ups ads

The pop-ups are a way of advertisement in the browser that redirects the User to a new tab. If you want to get rid of those, you will need to block them from your website. You can do it in simple steps. There are a few ways to block pop-up ads in Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Mozilla Firefox.

To enable the pop-up blocker in Internet Explorer:

  1. Launch your Internet Explorer
  2. Go to the top menu and choose Tools.
  3. Click on the internet options in the drop-down list.
  4. Then, move to the privacy tab on the Internet options window.

To enable the pop-up blocker in Google Chrome:

  1. Go to Google Chrome.
  2. Click on the icon on the top-right corner of the browser and select settings from the drop-down list to show the current configuration of Google Chrome.
  3. Find the privacy area by scrolling through your downloads and clicking on Content Settings.
  4. A new window will appear.
  5. Then, go to the pop-ups area and check the Do not allow any site to show pop-ups option.
  6. To allow pop-ups on certain websites, click Manage Expectations and add the website address.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

Start by logging into the SecureAnywhere website (my.webrootanywhere.com) and clicking the Mobile Protection tab. Then, select Alerts from the drop-down menu. Now the Alert Subscription panel will display.

Webroot has two main cleanup tools that can remove all traces of software from the system. To remove the traces, move to the main interface and tap on settings. Thereafter, select Basic configuration. Next, uncheck the Show Webroot option in the Start Menu.

Seeing pop-ups is very normal. However, if you are observing pop-up ads on every website you go to, it may be a problem. Sometimes you may observe that your browser’s homepage changes unexpectedly. This may result due to a malware infection on your browser.
