Having trouble with your Mcafee Antivirus

There can be many situations when you become unable to log into your McAfee account. You can face this issue due to numerous minor or major reasons on your device or the McAfee products. Causes:

Upgrading your account: Sometimes, this conflict can arise in your McAfee account because you upgrade your McAfee account. 

Entering the wrong password: The most common reason for not opening your McAfee account is that you are entering the wrong password somehow. 

Solution 1. Verify your email address to your McAfee account

1. First of all, go to the official website of McAfee on any internet browser. 
2. If you see the log-out option, click on it and make sure you are logged out of your account. 
3. Next, you need to hover the mouse on the My Account option and then choose Sign-in from the available list of options. 
4. Furthermore, if you already find any email address in the Email Address field, you need to delete it first. 
5. Now, you need to type your registered email address and password, then click on the sign-in option. 

Solution 2. Reset your McAfee account password

1. First of all, you are required to visit the official website of McAfee. 
2. Then take your mouse to the My Account and click on the My Account from the opened list of options. 
3. Now, you need to choose Forgot Your Email Address? or Forgot Your Password? 
4. After that, you will see a notification: “We sent you instructions for resetting your password.”
5. In the next step, you have to open the registered email and click on the reset password link. A new one will open on the screen to reset your McAfee password. 
   • Note-  There are a few things you need to keep in mind-
   • The password reset link expires after 72 hours. So, if you want to reset your password after 72 hours, you need to repeat the above procedure once again. 
   • In case you can not find the reset password link, then check your spam folder. 
   • Even if you take out the email from the spam folder, you can face some issues. So, to fix this issue, follow the below steps. 
     • You need to ensure that donotreply@mcafee.com is on the safe sender list to prevent the McAfee emails from going to the spam folder. 
     • If you want to get a new email, reset your password process once again. 
     • Open the new link and complete the process of password reset. 
   • After that, enter the new password and choose the Save option.
