Remove my credit card from AVG account

You have to cancel the AVG subscription from your AVG account. You will need to create a new account if you don’t have one.

To cancel your Subscription via your AVG account:

  1. Visit https://id.avg.com/sign-in to sign in to your AVG account. 
  2. If you forget the password to the AVG account, you will need to reset the password. 
  3. Once you sign in, click the My Subscription tile. 
  4. Find the AVG subscription that you need to cancel. 
  5. Then, you will see an Unsubscribe button at the bottom of the Subscription page; press it. 
  6. After that, click Continue. 
  7. Then a prompt will appear asking you the reason for cancelling your Subscription. Select one reason and click Continue. 
  8. The details of your cancelled Subscription will be displayed. Click Close. 
  9. Your Subscription is successfully cancelled, and you will receive a confirmation email.

To cancel AVG service, you will need to disable your AVG antivirus and firewall protection. Follow the steps below.
  1. Right-click the AVG icon, which is located in the lower right corner of the system tray.
  2. Then, select Temporarily disable AVG protection.
  3. After that, select the duration up to which you want to disable the protection and select whether you want to disable the firewall.
  4. Lastly, click OK.

The AVG automatic updates keep your computer secure, but sometimes this may slow down your computer. If you notice an animation in your system tray, it indicates that AVG is updating. The speed of your PC may slow down when the application performs a run test. 

When your AVG subscription expires, the application will automatically switch to the free version of the product (AVG AntiVirus). You cannot see the expired subscription details directly through the application.
