Solution 1. Protect your Avast software using the password.

  1. First, you need to open the Avast antivirus software on your computer system. 
  2. Next, move to the Menu option and click on it. 
  3. And then, from the open list of options, select Settings.
  4. In the settings screen, ensure you are on the General tab and click Password. 
  5. After that, click on the Create new password option.
  6. You need to enter a password in the first box and then re-enter the same password in the box below it. 
  7. Once the earlier process is done, select the create new password option once again. 
  8. Moreover, you are required to choose any of the follow-up radio buttons:
    • Require a password to open Avast and access settings: It will enable the password security to open Avast antivirus and settings.
    • Protect access to Settings only: It will only provide protection when someone tries to access settings. 
  9. Lastly, you need to click on the OK option.
