Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

Follow the steps mentioned below to link your email id with your existing account:
  1. Visit Norton's official website and click Sign in.
  2. Sign in using your Google account. Select the Google account you want to link if you have multiple Googe accounts.
  3. Enter your current Norton account username and click Continue.
  4. Next, enter your Norton account password and click Continue.
  5. Click Done to wrap up the process in the Your accounts are linked window.
  6. That's all; your Norton account is now linked to your Google account.

Two-factor authentication acts as an extra layer of security for your account. When you enable this feature to log into your Norton account, you must enter your account password and a special verification code sent to your phone as a text or voice message. You can choose the Mobile authenticator app, Security key, or mobile number for Two-factor authentication.

To turn on or off the two-factor authentication on your Norton account, follow the steps mentioned below:
  1. Sign in to your Norton account.
  2. Hover over your profile icon and then click on Account Settings.
  3. You can Turn On or Turn Off the Two-Factor Authentication feature in the Two-factor Authentication section.

To view the risks detected by Behavioral Protection:
  1. Open your Norton product, and click Open on the My Norton window.
  2. In the Norton product main window, double-click Security and then click History.
  3. In the Security History window, select Behavioral Protection in the drop-down list.
  4. If there are risks displayed, select a risk in the list.
  5. In the Details pane, follow the Recommended Action.

Behavioral Protection presciently detects unknown security risks and provides real-time Protection against threats. It identifies emerging threats based on the application's behavior. It protects your system against malicious code. That's why it is important to keep it turned on always. When Norton's Auto-protect is turned off, Behavioral Protection is also disabled.
