       1. First, you need to disable tamper protection on your device; to do that, click on the Windows search bar, then search and open Settings.

        2. Now, type in the Recover option in the search bar and open Recovery Options from the search bar.

       3. In the Advanced Startup section, select the Restart Now option.

       4. After that, choose the option Troubleshoot and then click on Advanced Options.

      5. Next, select the Command Prompt and choose your account to proceed.

       6. Then, you are required to enter the correct password and choose the Continue option.

      7. Furthermore, in the Administrator window, enter c:\>cd windows\system32\drivers and press the Enter key on the keyboard.

      8. In addition, type c:\>cdwindows\system32\drivers>ren SophosED.sys SophosED.Sys Old, press the Enter key again.

       9. Now, you need to type Exit, press the Enter button, and then select the Continue option.

      10. Moreover, click on the Windows search section once again, search Services, right-click on it, and select Run as Administrator.

       11. Next, in the Services window, right-click on the Sophos antivirus program and choose the Properties option from the open list.

      12. Now, open the Startup Type drop-down to select the Disabled button, then click on Apply and OK to save all the changes you have made.

     13. Then, you need to right-click on the Sophos MCS Agent and choose the Properties option.

       14. Set the Startup Type to Disabled and then click on Apply and OK options.

     15. Furthermore, click on the Windows start button, search regedit, and open Registry Editor.

       16. Now, in the User Account Control window, click on the Yes option to proceed.

     17. Click File in the Registry Editor window and select Export option.

        18. Go to Desktop, type in the file name Registry Backup, and then click on Save.

        19. Next, use the navigation bar and access HEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Sophos MCS Agent.

       21. After that, navigate to HEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Sophos Endpoint\Defence\tamperProtection\Config.
