Having trouble with your ESET Antivirus

By default, ESET products display pop-up notifications in the lower right-hand corner of your computer screen, notifying you about scheduled scan events, detected threats, and updates. Some of these notifications contain information that does not require user intervention; you can disable or suppress all these pop-up notifications except those that require user interaction. To do that, follow the steps mentioned below.

Solution 1: The settings of the ESET product.

1. Open the main program window of your ESET product and hit the F5 key.
2. The Advanced setup window will open.
3. Here, click User interface>Alerts and notifications
4. Next, select the check box to Display only notifications requiring user interaction.
5. Lastly, click OK to save changes.

Solution 2. With the help of Local Security policy tools.

1. Open the Start menu on your computer. 
2. Type local security policy in the search bar and press the enter button. 
3. You will be redirected to the Local Security Policy window.
4. Next, select the Software Restriction Policies option and click the Action tab. 
5. Select the New Software Restriction Policy option. 
6. Navigate to the Additional Rules option and double-click on it.
7. Click on Action and select the New Path Rule option. 
8. Below the path text box, tap on the Browse option. 
9. Navigate to the ESET folder. 
10. Select the Notification file. 
11. Next, Select the Disallowed option for the security level option.
12. When you finish that, click Apply, followed by OK.
