Change email address in the ESET account


A valid email address is mandatory for creating any social media account. To create an ESET account, you have to register your email ID. However, if you want to change your registered email ID, ESET allows you to do so for certain reasons. The Process is straightforward, and to make things easier for you, we have provided a step-by-step guide; you have to follow the steps mentioned below:

  1. First, go to the ESET HOME portal and log in to your Account.
  2. Click your email address at the top of the screen, then click Change email address.
  3. Type your new email address and current password, and click Submit.
  4. Now, open the email address that you selected.
  5. On your new email address, you will receive an email from ESET HOME containing a link.
  6. Open the Emal address change request and click the confirmation link.
  7. Once you click the confirmation link, you will be redirected to the ESET HOME portal. 
  8. Click Confirm>Got it.

Password Manager is only available to users with an ESET Smart Security license. If you are setting up the Password Manager for the first time, then you must follow the steps mentioned below:
  1. Open your ESET main program window.
  2. Click Tools, followed by Password Manager.
  3. Next, click your Account in ESET HOME.
  4. To login into your ESET HOME account, type your email address and password, then click Log in.
  5. Click Add Password Store. 
  6. Type the registered email address you used to purchase your ESET product and click Add password store.
  7. Add the ESET Password Manager extension to your desired browser.

To add the ESET Password manager to your Chrome extension, you must follow the steps mentioned below:
  1. Launch your Google Chrome web browser and click the Extension icon.
  2. Tap Manage extensions.
  3. In the upper-left corner of your screen, click the hamburger menu icon followed by Open Web Store.
  4. In the search bar, type Password manager and click the search result.
  5. Next, click Add to Chrome, then Add extension. 
  6. The ESET Password Manager extension will be added to your Chrome browser.

The number of credentials stored in ESET's Password Manager is unlimited. Password Manager can store and protect a number of credentials. However, the storage/ disk space on your system may be limited. The ESET's Password Manager extension is compatible with various browsers, including Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, and Safari. The extension is not available for private browsing mode.

Follow the steps below to set up two-factor authentication with your ESET Password Manager account. 
  1. Launch your web browser and open the ESET Password Manager extension.
  2. Click the menu icon and click Settings>My Account>Two-factor authentication.
  3. Enter your Master Password and click Continue.
  4. Download any authentication apps on your mobile device: Google Authenticator, Duo Mobile, or SoundLogin. 
  5. Go back t the Password Manager browser extension and click Next.
  6. Launch any of the authentication apps and click Add Account.
  7. Scan the QR code that is displayed on the screen and click Next. This will create a new Google Account entry paired with your Password Manager store. A 6-digit code will be generated that changes every 30 seconds.
  8. In your Password Manager browser extension, type the current 6-digit Code from the Google Authenticator app or the email and click Enter Code>Close.
  9. The next time you log in to the Password Manager browser Extension, you will be prompted to type a two-factor verification code.

Disabling the two-factor authentication in ESET Password Manager is very simple. Follow the steps below to disable ESET's two-factor authentication.
  1. Launch the ESET Password Manager browser extension, and click the Menu icon.
  2. Click Settings>My Account>Disable Two-Factor Authentication.
  3. Enter your Master Password and click Continue.
  4. Type the 6-digit verification code you received via your authenticator app and click Close.
